Today was an extremely difficult day to swim. Quite a storm blew up, dumped down onto Kenley the navigator, and left only a brisk wind behind. The swells probably appeared small to the average boat, but they were BIG from my point of view. Thinking of Pollyanna's glad game, I pretended the water crashing against my shoulders was massaging them. Hey, I was desperate. Charcoal pills were started earlier in the day to hopefully protect me from the water I was swallowing. All in all, I survived and did better than I had expected considering the conditions. The river was not as bothersome to my sinuses. Tuesday, I sneezed 60-70 times-today only twice. On the down side, I developed a rash and lost a lot of fibers from my swim suit.

The dying mussels are still bothering me. From the information I have gathered, I am glad I opted to wear my wetsuit through the Seven Mile Island area even if it did cause significant shoulder pain afterwards. Shoulder pain I can handle.

The emails people are sending me are fantastic. Thanks!
